Grow your business in a supportive environment
The Bayspace project is being realised by St Ives Workstation CIC whose aim is to establish a centre of excellence for sustainable development in St Ives. A Community Interest Company is a special
form of non-charitable limited company, which exists primarily to benefit a community or with a view to pursuing a social purpose.
Through the CIC, we will be nurturing local entrepreneurship and creativity through tailored support, including subsidised rates available for businesses registered in Cornwall. Get in touch to find out more.
Community
We’ve consulted and thought carefully at every stage about how Bayspace can benefit a spectrum of businesses, from small independents, hoping to grow, people looking to go freelance or start a social enterprise, and young people wanting to access training and sustainable employment in their local community without having to leave the area. We want to support the investment of skills, finance, ideas and creative talent in the local economy.
The space will support year-round jobs, stimulate business growth, and host projects and initiatives to benefit all corners of the community. Inclusivity is at the heart of what we do, reflected in the physical space, with wheelchair access to all levels and braille signage, run by a team trained in safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

St Ives, let’s go to
work
“Through the combination of the new space and new services, we aim to assist our community and our partners with the focus for resilience, sustainability and innovation they requested, and so to support core local needs and campaigns.
Having been born and educated locally, and now living and working in the area, I know St Ives to be full of talented, creative entrepreneurs, and businesses which are very much at the leading edge.”
